FitFocus

Best free AI fitness apps in 2026

"Free" covers three different things in this category: a permanent free tier, a time-limited trial, and a demo that shows you the questionnaire but not the output. Only the first is free. Here is where each app’s free tier stops.

How this comparison works

  • A 7-day trial is not a free tier and is marked as missing below.
  • Prices and tier boundaries move. Check the vendor link before relying on any of this.
  • FitFocus is our own product and is judged on the same free-tier test.

Questions people actually ask

Which AI fitness app is the most useful without paying?
It depends which half you need. For food, Mealime and Samsung Food plan a week free. For training, Alpha Progression and JEFIT have real free tiers. FitFocus is the only one here whose free tier covers both a meal plan and a workout program.
Is a 7-day free trial the same as a free tier?
No. A trial ends on a deadline and usually needs a payment method up front. Fitbod is trial-only, which is why it is marked as having no free tier here.
Do free fitness apps show ads?
Some do. JEFIT’s free Basic tier is ad-supported. Mealime, Samsung Food, Alpha Progression and FitFocus do not run ads on their free tiers.
Can I use an AI fitness app without installing anything?
Samsung Food and FitFocus both work in the browser. Most training apps in this category are mobile-app-first and expect an install.

Try the free tier yourself
